Members of the Council are hereby summoned to attend a meeting to be held at Shalford Village Hall on Wednesday, 17th April 2024 commencing at 7:30pm

 for the purpose of transacting the following business:  The meeting will be open to the public unless the Council directs otherwise.

 

 

AGENDA

 

  1. Apologies for Absence.

 

  1. To receive member’s declarations of interest and dispensations in items on the agenda. (Dispensations should be requested from the Clerk before the meeting).

 

  1. Minutes: Acceptance of the following minutes:
    • Ordinary Meeting of the Parish Council held on 20th March 2024

 

  1. Public participation session with respect to items on the agenda and other matters that are of mutual interest or local concern: (A maximum of 15 minutes shall be allowed for public question time, and it is requested each member of the public speak for a maximum of 3 minutes).

 

  1. District and/or County Councillor: To receive District and County reports

 

  1. Annual Parish Meeting 22nd May 2024:

To agree to the following items:

    • Purchasing a banner to place up at the Village hall
    • Agree to send Parish Report out to residents after the meeting this year
    • Agree for the Clerk to order M&S Sandwiches and Refreshments etc up to the £500 budget.

 

  1. HRH King Charles Portrait: To agree to donate to the Village Hall and to present it at the Annual Parish Assembly in May.

 

  1. WASC: To receive an update.

 

  1. Clerks Report: To receive a report from the Clerk.

 

  1. Finance:
    • To receive the financial report and approve payments (Appendix I)
    • To ratify additional payments made since last meeting (highlighted in green)
    • To agree to pay EALC 2024/25 Affiliation Fees @ £274.80
    • To agree to pay RCCE Membership Fees 2024/25 (1st July 24 to 31st March 25) @ £59.70
    • To agree to a £253.36 grant application from the History Society for storage files etc for Shalford village archive
    • To agree to a £1500 grant application from Bendlowes for new chairs in the village hall.
    • To agree to a new £2000 grant application towards printing costs of the Village Magazine

 

  1. Planning:

To review and agree a response to all planning applications including those that have arisen since the agenda was prepared:
