Members of the Council are hereby summoned to attend a meeting to be held at Shalford Village Hall on Wednesday, 19th February 2025 commencing at 7:30pm for the purpose of transacting the following business: The meeting will be open to the public unless the Council directs otherwise.
AGENDA
1. Apologies for Absence.
2. To receive member’s declarations of interest and dispensations in items on the agenda.
(Dispensations should be requested from the Clerk before the meeting).
3. Minutes: Acceptance of the following minutes:
• Meeting of the Parish Council held on 18th December 2024
4. Public participation session with respect to items on the agenda and other matters that are of mutual interest or local concern:
(A maximum of 15 minutes shall be allowed for public question time, and it is requested each member of the public speak for a maximum of 3 minutes).
5. District and/or County Councillor:
To receive District and County reports
6. Love Your Bus Grant:
To agree whether our Parish Council would like to take on the lead PC on the LOVE YOUR BUS (for up to 7 PC’s) Campaign.
7. VE Day 80th Anniversary 8th May 2025:
To agree to purchase a new replacement ‘standard’ flag as our local craft group will be decorating the current flag to commemorative this event which would be used at other commemorative events. The total cost is £97.20 including VAT & Delivery.

Would we like to do something ourselves, perhaps buy some VE Day 80 Bunting from the RBLI website: 4 x 5M @ £39.99 and donate to the village?
Any ideas please.
8. Shalford Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group:
To receive a report and agree the Terms of Reference for the ‘Shalford Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group’
Shalford Parish Council have submitted a grant application NPG-14339 on behalf of the ‘SNPSG’ for £2,225.00 to fund the pursuit of site allocations which was not originally envisaged in our plan but following on from conversations with the
local authority and in the context of the updates to the NPPF (2023, para 14), there is merit in us including sites to meet our housing need.
9. VAS Project:
To agree for a councillor to look after this project which will include organising the rotation of our VAS unit and downloading any data.
10. HR Committee:
Update to Council and to agree date of next meeting
11. Clerks Report:
To receive a report from the Clerk
12. Finance:
i. To receive the financial report, approve payments and to ratify additional payments made since last meeting (Appendix I)
ii. To agree new banking signatory for our Unity Trust Plc accounts
13. Planning:
To review and agree a response to all planning applications including those that have arisen since the agenda was prepared:
