 SHALFORD PARISH COUNCIL

 Members of the Council are hereby summoned to attend a meeting to be held at Shalford Village Hall on Wednesday, 13th September 2023 commencing at 7:30pm for the purpose of transacting the following business:

The meeting will be open to the public unless the Council directs otherwise.

 

AGENDA

 

  1. Apologies for Absence.

 

  1. To receive member’s declarations of interest and dispensations in items on the agenda. (Dispensations should be requested from the Clerk before the meeting).

 

  1. Minutes: Acceptance of the minutes of the Meeting of the Parish Council that was held on the 16th August 2023

 

  1. Public participation session with respect to items on the agenda and other matters that are of mutual interest or local concern: (A maximum of 15 minutes shall be allowed for public question time, and it is requested each member of the public speak for a maximum of 3 minutes).

 

  1. District and/or County Councillor:    To receive a report

 

  1. Ranger:    To receive a report on work carried out.

 

  1. WASC:
  • To agree to pay 50% of the earmarked budget reserves to Wethersfield Parish Council as requested. 
  • To receive report from Cllr Hull

 

  1. Christmas Light Switch-on:     To receive an update from Cllr French and to agree any expenditures that may be required.

 

  1. HR Committee Meeting:   To discuss and agree a date of the next meeting.

  1. RBLI Remembrance 2023 Statue:   To discuss/agree to the purchase of a Tommy Silhouette statue for the village.

 

  1. Report from the Clerk:   An update on matters arising since the last meeting (Appendix I)

 

  1. Public Rights of Way and Verges:    To discuss an agree the way forward regarding the upkeep of both the footpaths and verges in the parish.  (Clerk will have provided information on the Clerks Report)

 

  1. First Aid Training:   To agree dates for free 2hr Defib training from Community Heartbeat.

 

  1. Finance:    To receive the financial report and approve payments (Appendix II)

 

  1. Items from Councillors to be added to the next agenda.

 

  1. Chair to Close Meeting.
