Our website issues a monthly Email Newsletter to individuals who have subscribed to the system.
The newsletter only commenced in February 2020 just one month before government shutdown, the whole idea was to provide you with a reminder notice of coming activities and past news item that you may have missed. Hopefully, the Events Diary will be able to recommence later in this year, currently 145 subscribers
Not Received
Our current Newsletter was sent from newsletter@shalfordessex.org.uk on 15th May, if as a subscriber it has not been received, you need to undertake a few checks, this month 2 inactive accounts have been reported, automatically removed after 3 months
1. Have you changed you email ID since subscribing
Just subscribe again with new Email ID
2. All email suppliers have a main website in which your emails pass through that monitor emails going to multiply people such as ours, and some will mark them as SPAM and stop them coming to you
Gmail.com users need to go to https://www.google.co.uk and login to your Gmail account and check the junk & Spam folders, option to mark as Not Spam
BTinternet.com users is very similar just go to https://www.bt.com and login to email, again check spam/junk folders
Emails Not Opened
Our email system is all automatic with online reports just show individual email ID’s, and who have not opened any newsletter, currently 20 individuals fall into this category
After six months these subscribers are removed automatically from the system
Do not Let this Happen to You
As a Parish Council we are still trying to build the subscriber list, although only one email is sent each month, it could be used in an emergency to make contact with residents, and we wish to try and close the hole in the bucket.
Unsubscribing
Just use the link on bottom of the Newsletter when received
Want to Subscribe
Top right of the Home Page and just enter your email ID and click submit, within 24 hours a reply will be sent asking you to confirm subscribing, this is a check that your email ID has been entered correctly.
Problems
Any problems make contact direct; I cannot promise to solve all problems with the many devices now available
