Verges:
I have spoken to BDC who have the contract from ECC to cut the grass verges in our area.
They have advised me that their contract is for only 2 cuts 1 Spring and 1 Summer (Sept).
The contract only covers the verges which with their tractor would be approx. 1.5M each side.
I was given out of date information for a contact at ECC but I will be looking into this further to see if we can get permission to cut these verges and also the village hall triangle.
Defibrillators:
Over the last couple of weeks, in the process of sorting out the defibrillators and the webnos & Community Heartbeat accounts, I have found that the Jaspers Green defib has not been checked since January and had therefore been taken off the Ambulance Service available list.
I have now spoken to the relevant people and have made my own personal inspections of both the village hall and the Jaspers Green defibs and have rectified this situation. I will now be taking over the inspections of all three to ensure that this doesn’t happen again.
First Aid/Defib Training:
I haven’t been able to obtain information for this yet but will be looking at bringing pricing and information to our next meeting in August.
Footpaths:
I will be speaking to Lol over the next couple of weeks about what we can do to clear the footpaths.
Wooden Bridge:
It has been bought to our attention that a wooden bridge on one of the footpaths is damaged and breaking. I will look into who is responsible for its upkeep and will bring all the relevant information to our August meeting.
Leaking Bus Shelter:
We have already agreed an expenditure to fix the back of the damaged bus shelter and I will speak to Lol over the next month to see how we can proceed.
Jaspers Triangle Remedial Works:
I will chat to Lol to see if we can tidy this up ourselves or I will go back to highways who I believe made the mess in the first place.
Street Cleaning:
I have produced the invoice to BDC for our street cleaning fee which was due in by the end of June for £476.52 and we should expect this to be paid in July.
Temporary Recycling Bins at Stoneley Park:
The clerk is still looking into this with BDC and will have further updates at our next meeting in August.
