Shalford Parish Councillors are sorry to see Alan Oates depart after at least 15 years of service for Shalford, being a Chairman for a number of years also very keen on keeping footpaths cut and open, even purchasing his own cutting equipment at one time. Alan due to personal circumstance is now moving to retirement home of Hawthorns, Braintree shortly, which is outside the catchment area to remain a councillor for Shalford
Vacancy has been notified to at Braintree District Council for 28 days, it now allows Shalford Parish Council to co opt directly
