For our first meeting of 2021, Shalford Parish Councillors held Wednesday 20th January welcomed Andrew Merryweather as a new co-opted parish council member, Andrew is a Shalford resident of 27 years residing in The Street Shalford.
Andrew replaces Alan Oates a long outstanding member of Shalford Parish Council who had to stand down in October 2020 as now lives outside the district boundary.
With the meeting being undertaken via ZOOM we had a full house with both Graham Butland County Councillor and Peter Tattersley District Councillor present, plus three members of the public taking part, which is a first for Shalford Parish Council
Some of items discussed
• Many planning applications, some being disputed
• Members of the public are being asked when out walking our Bridleways and Footpaths to report any broken or missing signposts direct to Cathryn our Parish Clerk
• We are also receiving reports of Dog waste along pathways and in trees, free doggy bags are available at Shalford Village Store.
• A Thank You has been received from the CREAMER Fund on our £200 donation, after John Phipps supplied the Village Hall Christmas Tree FOC.
