Did you miss it!, the annual event normally takes place on the 1st Sunday each December, however this year the event was held on Sunday 8th December, sun shining but very cold wind.
Registration for the event taking place at The George PH from 10.30 am with £5.00 entry fee, all proceeds to local charities, open to all ages and dispositions, some runners, walkers and even babies in pushchairs. Kick off started at Rotten End with the uphill stretch back along Water Hall Lane, to the main road then all downhill to the George PH.
Entry included your first drink and with the new publicans Anne & Steve Walker joining in the fun by providing bacon rolls for all entrants.
All very professional with road signs warning drivers that a road race was taking place and road marshals directing traffic
Cups & trophies provided for the winners; Rob Short who organised the event was pleased to have record numbers this year with 73 entrants taking part.
A great community event, with many using the George PH afterwards
