In recognition of the many years of service given by Lawrence Rawlinson to the Village Hall Management Committee they unanimously agreed to rename the Committee Room “The Rawlinson Room”.
Lawrence was a stalwart of the Committee and served on it for many years. He also acted as the voluntary groundsman cutting the grass on the playing field, where he could be seen every week, come rain or shine, driving the tractor, so the grounds could be enjoyed by the local community
Having completed the redecoration of the Hall a “Rawlinson Room” plaque has been mounted over what was the entrance to the old Committee Room as a lasting tribute to Lawrence’s dedication to serve our community
