Shalford Parish Councillors welcome our new Parish Clerk Michelle Baker today. Cathryn Carlisle who has served as Parish Clerk since 2006 makes her way shortly to Scotland, she has also served on three other parish councils, who will feel her loss.
Michelle comes to Shalford as an experience Parish Clerk of 2 years, she remains clerk at Wethersfield who will be shortly completing her CiLCA training to become a qualified clerk, her other role in life is a qualified accountant, member of multiple local charities and board member for a local housing association. Parish Councillor since 2008, many years as the Chairman, standing down to let others have a go, Colin & wife Linda have been a great asset for Shalford in raising large grants for a number of projects, mainly surround our village hall, new kitchen, new roof and the pending replacement of netball and children’s swings area

Parish Councillor since 2005, as resident creating one of the first websites for a parish council in 2003/04, winning a national award for UK best communication website from The Local Channel, before joining as a councillor when a vacancy occurred. The current website is the third generation created since his time with Shalford Parish Council and hopes to continue with the current site. Feels it’s time to let the younger generation take part as a councillor.
